Automotive Technician / 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice

Mainland Ford is currently seeking Red Seal Automotive Technicians/ 3rd or 4th year Automotive Apprentices

About the role :

The Licensed Technician contributes to the operational efficiency of the shop by maintaining, repairing and diagnosing automotive vehicles in accordance with Trotman Auto Group and manufacturer guidelines, ensuring that our customer visits meet and exceed expectations. 

Schedule: Full- Time

Remuneration: Competitive salary (depending on experience)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow manufacturer checklists to inspect and test vehicles
  • Perform standard mechanical repairs such as changing brake pads, oil changes and tires
  • Quote labor, time and parts cost estimates
  • Test vehicles before and after repair procedures
  • Maintain the workshop and customer areas and keeping inventory areas well-organized

What we need from YOU:

  • Journeyman Red Seal Technician Certification or 3rd/4th year Apprentice Technician Certification

  • Pride in workmanship, confident in your abilities, consistent flat rater
  • The ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Physical fitness and stamina to stoop, crawl and work laying down
  • Practice all WorkSafe BC rules and guidelines
