HR Generalist

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist who thrives in fast-paced environment to join our Human Resources team.

As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical position overseeing various aspects of human resources functions. The role involves overseeing Occupational health and safety (OH&S) protocols, managing employment agreements and documentation, implementing HR best practices, and more. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.


Schedule: Full-Time

Salary: $56,000 - $73,000 per year

Who You Are:


  • Minimum of 3+ years of Canadian experience in a HR Administrator role or higher
  • Strong knowledge of BC Employment and Labour laws, and Human Rights Code
  • Experiencing overseeing WorkSafe BC programs, training and committees
  • Experience in managing and supporting Performance Management programs
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role in a medium to large sized organization (500+ employees)
  • Excellent Oral and Written English communication skills
  • The ability to adapt to a fast paced, high volume retail operation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various HRIS software
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities 

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Oversee and educate operations on WorkSafe BC programs, training and direction to ensure a safe working environment for all locations
  • Manage the creation, review, and maintenance of employment agreements and documentation.
  • Act as a consultant to the Leadership team on all HR best practices
  • Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
  • Assist in the onboarding/offboarding process, including facilitating orientation sessions and exit interviews
  • Assist leaders with employee disciplinary issues and/or layoffs and terminations ensuring completion of documents for employee file.
  • handle day to day HR inquiries from all Team Members
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
