Automotive Fixed Operations Director

Trotman Auto Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Fixed Operations Manager to oversee the parts and service departments across our twelve dealerships. This leadership role will involve strategic planning, performance management, and ensuring operational excellence in all fixed operations. This position will report directly to the President of Auto Operations. 


Schedule: Full-time; Monday to Friday

Salary: $130K - 160K annually

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience in fixed operations management within the automotive industry
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proficient in relevant software and technology used in fixed operations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A desire to exceed customer's expectations
  • Enjoys building relationships and has excellent interpersonal skills 


What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Oversee the performance and profitability of parts and service departments across all Trotman Auto Group dealerships.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and department managers to set and achieve goals for service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement best practices to optimize workflow, enhance customer experience, and drive sales in parts and service.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including: service absorption rate, technician efficiency and productivity, customer satisfaction scores (CSI), parts sales per repair order, average repair order value, first-time fix rate, warranty claim rate
  • Prepare reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to parts and service managers to foster professional development and enhance team performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Lead regular meetings with department managers to discuss performance, share best practices, and address challenges
