Schedule: Full-time - Monday to Friday

Salary: $60K - 75K+ (based on experience)

Who You Are:

  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of recent work experience as a senior Accounting Clerk or higher in the automotive retail sector
  • Automotive Dealership experience is required
  • Recent hands on experience posting deals
  • Recent hands on experience managing accounts payable/receivable accounts
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • The ability to self-manage oneself in a fast paced and deadline-oriented role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Tech Savvy - MS Office applications, Outlook
  • PBS software knowledge is an asset 

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Prepare dealership financial statements for submission to Trotman Auto Group corporate, the manufacturer, and NCM Associates (where applicable).
  •  Handle monthly reconciliations for dealership financial statements.
  • Reconcile manufacturer statements, inventory, service contracts, and vehicle dealer reserves.

  • Process deals, including posting vehicle invoices into the system
  • Manage floorplan payouts and lien payouts.
  • Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
  •  Review supporting backup for all payments and vehicle purchases.
  • Handle daily cheques, EFTs, and e-transfers for various vendors.
  • Complete payroll functions, including data entry into the TAG HR4 system.
  • Enroll and terminate employee benefits.
  • Reconcile commissions and bonuses payable per various pay plans.
  • Coordinate quarterly vehicle inventory counts and annual parts inventory counts.
  • Process documents for the acquisition of new/used inventory.
  • Reconcile various accounts, including commissions for salespeople and F&I, service contract payables, and other F&I product payables.
  • Manage inventory schedules for new and used vehicles, contracts in transit, OEM incentive receivables, EV, dealer reserves, and other vehicle receivables.
  • Handle customer deposits on vehicle purchases.
  • Accept ownership of new and different requests to enhance the organization’s reputation.
  •  Provide oversight and management for the AR/AP Associate.
  • Perform any additional duties outlined by management.
