Systems Administrator

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented Systems Administrator who thrives in fast-paced environment to join our team.

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on experienced Systems Administrator. As a member of the IT team, you will directly report to the IT Manager, you will play a critical role in administrating, supporting, and configuring various systems, and platforms. Your responsibilities will include ensuring secure, reliable, healthy stable IT environment. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in Microsoft Cloud services including endpoint management and systems administration with a good understanding of security technologies and zero trust frameworks with history of deployments.


Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday (on-site). After hours and Weekends for any escalation support.

 

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Network Infrastructure Management:

·        Maintenance of network services including DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, and VPN.

·        Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of network services.

·        Maintenance of Wireless Network infrastructure (Wi-Fi).

 

Server and Systems Administration:

·        Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams.

·        Manage Entra ID including user account management.

·        Management of Intune for device management and software deployment.

·        Management of Cloud Hosted Servers in Azure.

·        Management of On-Premises Servers configurations

·        Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, standards, processes, and procedures.

·        Escalation resource for Tier 1 and Teir 2 IT Support.

·        Manage and maintain ITSM system.

·        Manage and maintain Asset Management.

·        Manage and maintain Change Controls Systems.

 

Security and Disaster Recovery:

·        Manage Cyber Awareness Training and Testing Platforms.

·        Management and monitoring of various security systems including management of alerts, investigation, and remediation.



Qualifications:

Technical Experience:

·        A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·        5+ years of experience in administration of Microsoft 365 cloud systems.

·        5+ years of experience in administration of Entra ID and Azure Cloud infrastructure.

·        5+ years of experience in Microsoft Security Systems and Services including Zero Trust Frameworks.

·        5+ years of experience administration of Intune for device management and software deployment including patching.

·        Power BI experience is an asset.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

·        Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system management.

·        Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results.

·        Adept in collaborating with teams and stakeholders at various technical levels including 3rd party vendors.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Ability to provide support and assistance to other IT team members.

 

·        Have a valid BC Driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel to dealerships when necessary is required

·        Azure and Office365 certifications and Cybersecurity certifications are an asset
